Great performances at YCAT/Landor Piano Festival Audiences at the inaugural YCAT/Landor Piano Festival at Wigmore Hall last month enjoyed three stunning performances from Libor Novacek, Evelina Puzaite and Daniel De Borah.
On Wednesday 4th June, Libor Novacek gave a memorable account of Liszt's substantial Années de Pèlerinage - Première Année: Suisse, in addition to a beautifully judged performance of Haydn's Sonata in F major and Brahms' 8 Pieces op.76. The latter will be on his latest CD, 'Brahms', released on 15th September 2008.
The following night, Evelina Puzaite performed an unusual progamme of Clara and Robert Schumann, De Falla and Prokofiev, along with no less than three encores! Read the rave review on Classical Source [here].
The final evening was given to YCAT artist Daniel De Borah, who impressed a large audience with music by Chopin, Beethoven and Prokofiev.
"This festival was a huge success and it has been a huge privilege to work closely with Young Concert Artists Trust, which does so much to promote young talent," says Landor Chief Executive Guy Harvey.
"We hope that this may become a fixture in London's musical calendar for years to come."
