YCAT and Landor Records Join Forces On Piano Showcase at Wigmore Hall

Landor Records and Young Concert Artists Trust (YCAT), the prestigious agency for young musicians, are to co-host a piano festival at London's Wigmore Hall in June.

The event, which comprises three evening recitals from 4th to 6th June, will showcase three leading young pianists, Landor artists Libor Novacek and Evelina Puzaite, and Daniel De Borah who is on the YCAT roster.

'YCAT is internationally known for its excellence in promoting young talent, and we are very proud to be working with it on this showcase', says Guy Harvey, Chief Executive of Landor Records.

4 June 2008: Libor Novacek
Selected for representation by YCAT in 2004, in 2005 Libor won the Landor Records Competition leading to a long-term recording relationship with them. His first two CDs were released in 2006 to outstanding reviews and in 2007 his Liszt CD was Editor’s Choice in Gramophone Magazine and he was awarded a Diplôm d’Honneur by the 33rd Liszt International Record Grand Prix in Hungary.

5th June 2008: Evelina Puzaite
Evelina Puzaite is the winner of the Abstract Securities Landor Competition 2006 and many other competitions including Rubinstein Piano Competition (Paris) and Tel-Hai International Piano Competition (Israel). Her debut CD on Landor Records was released in September 2007. Recent performances have been at the Barbican, Royal Festival and Wigmore Halls and she gave the opening performance at Brighton Festival 2006.

6 June 2008: Daniel de Borah
Born in Melbourne, Daniel de Borah studied in Budapest, the St. Petersburg State Conservatoire and at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2005 he was selected for representation by YCAT and in 2007 he won the piano section of the Royal Over-Seas League Competition. He has already performed widely in Australia, Europe and Russia, recently making his debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Barbican.
