Artists Andrew Kennedy, tenor Simon Lepper, piano Pavão Quartet, string quartet Daniel Pailthorpe, flute Owen Dennis, cor anglais
Description Described in The Evening Standard as 'the voice to watch in the opera world', Andrew Kennedy was the recipient of the prestigious 2006 Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artists' Award and the BBC Singer of the World Rosenblatt Recital Prize.
His debut recital disc showcases the work of Peter Warlock, one of the most intriguing and misunderstood composers of the early 20th century. His song cycle 'The Curlew' is an atmospheric setting of the W.B.Yeats poem and has become a favourite of the repertoire.
