Evelina Puzaite was born and educated in Vilnius, Lithuania where she received her early musical training at the M. K. Ciurlionis Art High School. Her first teacher was Jurate Karosaite under whose guidance she won many prizes in International Competitions including First Prize at the Rubinstein Piano Competition (Paris, 1997), First Prize in Tel-Hai International Piano Competition (Israel, 1999), Third Prize in the M.K.Ciurlionis International Competition (Lithuania, 1999), Second Prize at the Grodno Composers’ Competition (Belarus, 2000) and others.

In 2000 Evelina was admitted to the Lithuanian Academy of Music joining the class of Petras Geniusas and a year later she won a Baltic State Scholarship to study with Joan Havill at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She received a First Class Bachelor Diploma in Music with Honours (2004) and Degree of Master of Music in Music Performance with Distinction.

Evelina has participated in many International Festivals: Kaunas 1994/1997, the first EPTA Festival (Cyprus, 1998), Belarus 2000, Usedomer Music Festival (Germany, 2000), Festival di Londra (Italy, 2006) and Presteigne Festival (Wales, 2006). She was the winner of the Oxford Music Festival in 2002 and the Second Prize winner at the Dudley (England) International Piano competition in 2003.

Evelina’s recent performances have been at the Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Royal Festival Hall and the opening performance of the Brighton festival. She has collaborated with the Fine Arts Quartet in ‘Vilnius Festival’ (2006). Evelina is very grateful for the awards she has received from Philharmonia Orchestra/Martin Musical Scholarship fund, Kirckman Concert Society, Myra Hess foundation, MBF Music Education, Harold Craxton Memorial Trust, Maisie Lewis, Hattori foundation and Edenbridge Music and Arts Trust. Recently she became one of the winners of the Philip & Dorothy Green Young Concert Artists Award and a winner of The Abstract Securities Landor Competition 2006.

She has performed many times with the Lithuanian Chamber and Lithuanian Symphony Orchestras. As a recitalist she has performed throughout Lithuania, Russia, Israel, Sweden, Greece and many countries in Western Europe as well as in the USA.

Evelina is on a long-term recording contract with Landor Records and her first CD was released in September 2007.
