In 2009 and 2008 Veronika Ilinskaya was awarded with the Solti Foundation Career Development Award and invited to take part of the 2008 International Holland Music Sessions. She regularly wins awards at piano contests including the Gold Medal at the Marlow Festival Competition in 2008.
Ms. Ilinskaya made her first appearance with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in 2007, performing before an audience of five thousand guests on the final night of the Henley International Festival for Music and the Arts. She also performed twice for the Chelsea Festival in London and completed last season with a performance in Vancouver, Canada.
Ms. Ilinskaya has toured extensively throughout Western Europe, the USA and Russia, and has quickly become known to audiences for her strong versatility and individual musicianship.
Her repertoire includes an extensive range of solo and chamber works and most of the standard piano concerti. She was the recipient of the Corporation of London, Tovey Memorial and Baltic Piano Scholarships and was the top prize-winner at both the Oxford and Watford Music Festivals in the UK .
In recital, she has been engaged by most of the prominent musical associations in the piano world including solo performances at the Theatre du Chatelet, Paris, where she was invited by Menahem Pressler to take part in his Artist Series; Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Centre, New York City, Steinway Hall, Edinburgh Society of Musicians in Scotland, St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London, the Chelsea Festival, Theatre Royal in Richmond, the Moscow Conservatoire in Russia and many others.
Ms. Ilinskaya has performed with many prominent orchestras as a soloist under the batons of Michael Seal, Nikolae Moldoveanu and others.
Veronika Ilinskaya was born in Moscow in 1981 and made her first appearance as a soloist with orchestra at the age of ten, performing the Haydn D major Concerto at the House of Composers. She became the winner of the Russian Music Competition at the Moscow Conservatoire in 1992. After completing her studies at the Conservatoire's Central Music School, Veronika was invited to study at the Guildhall School of Music in London on a full scholarship with Professor Joan Havill.
Ms. Ilinskaya has recently completed her Masters Degree at the Mannes College of Music in New York City. Upcoming engagements include recitals in Scotland, Croatia and Canada, as well as frequent appearances across England.
